Bacon Wrapped Dried Plums with Cream Cheese and Almonds

12 large dried plums, pitted
150 g cream cheese (preferably with no herbs)
A handful of raw almonds
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
6 slices bacon, grilled
Freshly ground black pepper
Soak dried plums overnight in water with lemon juice. If you didn’t plan ahead, soak them in hot water for at least an hour. Drain and pat dry. Stuff dried plums with cream cheese and one almond per plum. Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap a slice around each dried plum and fasten with toothpicks. Give them an additional grilling for 4 to 5 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
