Banana Chocolate Chip Cake with Caramel Icing

CAKE:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas (about 2-3)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups chocolate chips

ICING:
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 Tbsp. butter
1/3 cup milk
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cake pan (bundt or 11x13) CAKE: Combine the dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs and mashed bananas and mix thoroughly. Blend in milk. Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix until all incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour into cake pan and bake for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. ICING: Place brown sugar, butter and milk in sauce pan and bring to boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 1 minute. Add powdered sugar and mix. Drizzle or spread over cooled cake.
