This is a delicious comfort dish that will be loved by kids and adults alike! Feel free to play with the spices to make it your own. Serve with a crusty bread and salad for a complete meal

1.5 pounds ground beef
1 pound elbow macaroni
2-15 ounce cans tomato sauce
2-14.5 ounce cans tomatoes with onions, oregano and garlic
1/2 sweet onion, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
2 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp (or to taste) crushed red pepper (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup heavy cream
1. Boil elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside 2. While the macaroni is cooking, brown the ground beef in a large saucepan until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat 3. Add the onion and butter to the ground beef and cook 5 minutes or until the onion is softened 4, Add macaroni, tomato sauce and canned tomatoes. Stir to combine 5, Add spices and stir to combine 6, Lower heat and cover, simmering for 6-7 minutes. If needed, uncover and allow some of the liquid to evaporate. 7, Season to taste with salt and pepper 8, Stir in heavy cream.
