Becky's Quick Beer Cheese Bread

This quick bread requires no rising, A crispy crust and dense, moist crumb make this an ideal pairing with heavier dishes such as pasta. You can easily leave the cheese out, if desired.

3 tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp salt
1.3 cup white sugar
12 ounces of beer
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese
2 TBL melted butter
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. baking powder, salt, sugar to a large bowl 3. Add beer and stir until sugar is dissolved 4. Add flour, one cup at a time and stir until just incorporated 5. Add cheese and stir a few times until incorporated 6. Spread in 9.25/5.25 bread pan that has been sprayed with non-sick spray. 7. Top with melted butter 8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until top is well browned 9. Immediately turn out onto wire rack to cool
