Best Ever Granola

Granola is one of my favorite breakfast cereals, but it is EXPENSIVE for what you get! And I don’t really care for most store bought ones. They are too sweet. Here is the recipe that I have used for the past 5 years. It is wonderful. A tried and true recipe that a friend shared with me.

7 cups. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. wheat germ
1 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped almonds
1/2 c. chopped pecans
raisins and dates as desired
1 c. wheat germ
1 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped almonds
1/2 c. chopped pecans
raisins and dates as desired
Mix thoroughly and bake in shallow pans at 275 until coconut is lightly browned (about an hour). Add dates and raisins as desired.
