"Better than Box" Brownies

58

This is my favorite "Go-To" Brownie recipe! I always have these ingredients in my pantry and I can whip them up just as quick as a BOX mix. (did I mention they taste WAY better too), real butter, dutch cocoa goodness. Enjoy!!

12
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1/3 cup dutch cocoa
1/2 t. salt

Optional: Add walnuts before baking, and powdered sugar after brownies are done baking.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Add flour, cocoa and salt and mix until just combined. Pour into 9x13 aluminum pan. Bake 30 minutes, do not overbake. check at 25 minutes. If you use a glass pan reduce time 5 minutes. Tip: When checking with a toothpick you want it to have moist crumbs sticking to it, If it comes out clean, you baked too long.
