1 lb. Blackberries
1 c. Boysenberries (you can use blackberries here too, if you don't have boysenberries)
1/3 c sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. toffee bits (like heath-- not the chocolate kind)
3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 stick chilled, unsalted butter, chopped
3 tbsp. brown sugar + a little extra for sprinkling on top
1/4 c chopped pecans (optional)
