Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake

This refreshing summer cake combined blueberry and lemon flavors. It works well as a loaf cake or muffins.

1 cup softened butter
1 3/4 cups sugar
zest of two medium lemons
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup buttermilk
3 cups of fresh or frozen blueberries (do not thaw if frozen)
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
