12 oz Guinness or other stout beer
3 1/2 c fat free beef broth
2 T whole grain mustard
3 c cabbage, chopped
3 c carrots, chopped
2 lb corned beef brisket
1/2 c water
2 T cornstarch
1 lb red potatoes, quartered
2 T margarine or butter
garlic salt to taste
