Butternut Sweet Potato Soup

Pull out your slow cooker, chop up some vegetables, hang out for a bit, and then enjoy this creamy delicious Butternut Sweet Potato Soup!

1 medium butternut squash, peeled and chopped (1.5 in cubes)
1 large sweet potato, chopped (1.5 in cubes)
4 medium carrots, chopped
1 small yellow onion, chopped
1 large garlic clove, chopped
4 cups vegetable broth
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon cumin
¼ teaspoon chili powder
Sprinkle of red pepper flakes
¼ cup organic half & half (or full fat coconut milk for vegan version)
Seeds such as sunflower or pumpkin for topping (optional)
