Nothing says winter like mint and chocolate. These candy cane cupcakes are the perfect way to usher in the holidays!

For Cupcakes:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp mint extract
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water

For Mint Buttercream:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 lb powdered sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp mint extract
splash of milk
