Caramel Buttermilk Syrup

This syrup is to die for!!! Way better than just regular maple syrup. Every bite just melts in your mouth. Delicious!

• 1 ½ cups buttermilk
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• ½ cup butter
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp vanilla
In a large saucepan, bring buttermilk, sugars, and butter to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in soda and vanilla. It will bubble up a lot. As it cools, the bubbles will go away. Serve hot over waffles or pancakes.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
