Luxurious, creamy New York style Cheesecake Topped with Fresh Nectarines. One of my very favorite indulgent desserts is a really good cheesecake! There is something so wonderful about that thick, sweet graham cracker crust and that filling, ohhhh that beautiful filling! This one is perfect; light, creamy, just a little bit sweet. For the crust:
1 box graham cracker crumbs
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
For the filling:
3 - 8oz pkgs of cream cheese{I used light}, room temperature
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup heavy cream
For the topping:
5 nectarines, peeled and sliced
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/4 tsp vanilla

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
