Cherry Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies

Santa never had it so good! Leave these Chocolate Cherry Thumbprint Cookies out on Christmas Eve and guaranteed, they’ll be GONE! These are the chocolate cousins to the Cherry Pie Thumbprint Cookies that you may have seen posted on our site. Both versions are fancy cookies that are easy to create, you won’t be spending hours in the kitchen during the busy holiday season, no ma’am.

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
3 cups flour
1 cup cocoa
½ t salt
½ t baking soda
½ t baking powder
1 21oz can Lucky Leaf Cherry Pie Filling
½ cup chocolate chips
