Who really knows what's in all those chicken pieces we buy in the stores right? Well I have decided to make these because I know what goes into them

You will need:

½ cup honey
1 ½ teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt, plus additional to taste (optional)
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 large egg, lightly beaten
4 cups crushed cornflakes
Canola oil, for frying
