Chili Con Carne

1 pound ground round
2-15 ounce cans red kidney beans or pinto beans, drained, rinsed
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1-14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
1 can green Chile peppers
2 teaspoons jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
1-8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 ½ teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
Brown in a large skillet the, onion, garlic, red pepper and ground beef in oil. Next add the chili peppers, jalapeño pepper, tomatoes, tomato sauce and other seasonings. Cook covered on simmer for 1 ½ hours; add water to keep from sticking. Stir frequently. Add beans and heat through.
