What could be better than eating waffles for breakfast? How about waffles that taste like brownies? #recipe #waffles #brownies When I got the opportunity for an advance copy of Breakfast for Dinner by Lindsay Landis and Taylor Hackbarth, I was all over it. For Strawberry Sauce:
2 cups fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
juice from one lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Waffles:
½ cup unsalted butter, cut into cubes
3 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup milk (I used 2%)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
