I love everything about this bar cookie! The bottom layer is this buttery, sink your teeth into crust that is out of this world.

1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
