Chocolate Caramel Squares


I made some of these delicious squares of sticky goodness for my mom-in-law, and gave them to her last night at a little pre-Christmas dinner. But they could be a very welcomed Valentine's Day gift too. Now I did feel a little intimidated by the caramel step, worrying that I might burn it, but the recipe is actually very easy (even though it is a bit on the long side).
