Chocolate Chip Angel Cookies

I've been baking cookies as long as I can remember and have tried many chocolate chip cookie recipes but I have never found any as yummy as these. This is one of the first recipes I learned to make as a kid and this recipe will not disappoint! I love all types of chocolate chip cookies but these cookies are one of my most talked about and requested recipes I have.

1/2 C butter softened
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
2 C flour
6 oz chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate chips)
