Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

It always seems to happen, I buy a lot of bananas and before we get a chance to eat them all, some start to go bad. My son and my husband are HUGE banana bread fans (me? not so much). I’m actually impressed that since I’ve made the chocolate chip banana bread, that it’s lasted more than a day!

2/3 cups mushed bananas (I typically use 2-3 ripened bananas)
2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup shortening
3 Tablespoon sour milk (to make sour milk 2.5 T of milk and .5 white vinegar or lemon/lime juice)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 c chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
