To celebrate our 100th post, I decided to make something scrumptious. I have a thing for chocolate and I’ve been craving for salted caramel since my visit to Kepos Street Kitchen, so chocolate with salted caramel cookies it is !

Chocolate Chip Cookies with Salted Caramel
Recipe adapted from Top With Cinnamon

Ingredients
Salted Caramel
(if not making, use 15-16 caramel-filled chocolates eg. Rolos)
1/3 cup (66g) granulated sugar
3 tbsp water
1/2 tbsp (8g) butter
3 tbsp double (a.k.a heavy) cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
scant 1/4 tsp maldon salt

Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 cup (110g) butter
200g light brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
2 cups (260g) all-purpose flour
120g milk or dark chocolate (roughly chopped)
Flaky salt/ fleur de sel/ maldon salt, for sprinkling
