Make your own chocolate chip cupcakes from scratch! Anyone can make these simple white cupcakes that are light and moist with bits of chocolate inside.

? cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 egg ( at room temperature )
2 cups cake flour
½ teaspoon salt
2½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ cup milk ( 2% or higher )
1 teaspoon vanilla
