Quick chocolate chip breakfast (or anytime) muffins made with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

2 cups flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 large egg
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (or so) of chocolate chips
