Chocolate Earthquake Cake

A yummy chocolate cake with cream cheese, coconut and nuts. Moist and delecious!

- One box Chocolate Cake Mix (and ingreidents to make the cake)
- 1 c up coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (peacans, almonds and walnuts all work well)
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups icing sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9’x13’ pan. - Place the coconut and nuts in the bottom of greased pan. - Prepare cake mix according to directions and spread batter over the nuts and coconut - In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, butter, vanilla and icing sugar until fluffy. Drop by spoonfuls over the batter. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips. - Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 - 50 mins until cream cheese mixture is set and firm. * can ice with cool whip if desired, but I find no need!
