Chocolate Pecan Zucchini Cake

Brown sugar pecan crumbles bake into a crackly topping that melts into a moist, tender cake.

Cake:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup canola oil
1 and 3/4 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 and 1/2 cups flour
4 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups grated zucchini (I left the skin on and used a large grater)

Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
