Cinnamon Chip Scones
119
My kids love to have scones for breakfast on Sunday mornings and this one is a favorite!
12
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ c. butter
¾ c. milk
1/2 10 oz. bag cinnamon chips
3 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ c. butter
¾ c. milk
1/2 10 oz. bag cinnamon chips
Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles course crumbs. If you don't have a pastry blender, you can use two knives. Slowly add milk until a soft dough forms. You may need to add a little more milk if it is too dry and the flour won't all mix in. Turn dough onto floured surface and pat into a 7 inch circle. Cut into 12 wedges (I use a pizza cutter for this). Bake at 400 degree for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
