Cranberry Butter

Butter whipped with cranberries, sugar, cinnamon and orange zest.

1 pound (2 cups) butter, softened
1 cup chopped fresh cranberries
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Zest of one medium orange
Using an electric mixer, whip butter until light and fluffy. Mix in remaining ingredients until everything is well combined. Store in refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
