Creamy Basil Dressing

Whenever I go to the Spaghetti Factory, I absolutely love their creamy salad dressing. This is a sort of copy cat version of that dressing. The copy cat versions I have seen before use oil in it, but I have found that I like it without the extra oil. My family loves this dressing and it's great for just dipping vegies in too! -Robin

1 cup mayonnaise

1 1/4 cups buttermilk
2 Tbsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 1 garlic clove minced.
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
(I used a combination of both)

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until smooth. Pour into a jar and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
