Pot roast is a comfort food that always hits the spot. This version is extra tasty with Italian spices. Making the roast in the slow cooker makes it an easy one pot meal.

3-4 pound chuck roast
5-7 cloves garlic (smashed with knife)
5 small white onions (peeled)
2 carrots (peeled)
2 large potatoes (cubed)
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
