As I write this post, my house smells absolutely AMAZING! It could be from the homemade pasta sauce I made for the Lasagna but the sauce cooking with the cheese, noodles, meat, garlic, onion is absolutely amazing. icon smile Crock Pot Lasagna Recipe YUM! 2 lbs cooked ground hamburger meat (you could also use turkey)
1/2 onion chopped
2 jars marinara sauce (or you could make homemade, easy pasta sauce – see below for ingredients)
1/2 box lasagna noodles (uncooked)
1 (2 lb) tub ricotta cheese
2-3 cups mozzarella cheese
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 teaspoon salt
Homemade Sauce ingredients:
Garlic – about 10-12 cloves
3 (15 oz cans) of Hunts tomato sauce (This is super important….in my opinion, it needs to be Hunts. I have tried other brands, organic included and although it still turns out fantastic, it doesn’t taste the same…so Hunts it is!).
1 cup Olive Oil
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
1/4 teaspoon Oregano
1/2 tablespoon Parsley flakes
1/2 onion chopped
