Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond Squares

I wanted a treat that didn’t have as much sugar as run of the mill cookies and had healthier ingredients. I spotted this recipe on the side of the King Arthur Whole Wheat Flour bag and decided to try it with a few changes to accommodate my kiddos’ palates. This is a great recipe because it is so easy to modify to your own tastes.

3/4 c unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 c brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 t vanilla extract
2 cups King Arthur Premium Whole Wheat Flour
2 1/2 t baking powder
1 t salt
1 c dark chocolate morsels
1/2 c shredded sweetened coconut
1/2 c sliced raw almonds
