Decadent Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies

Delightfully soft brownie cookies that are melt in your mouth good. Inspired by the popular Brownie Cookies you find in the store ... but WAY better.

1 cup salted butter
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour (1 cup white to 1 cup milled soft wheat if available)
½ cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips (half a small bag)
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. In a small bowl, combine flours, cocoa, baking soda and salt and set aside. In your mixer or another large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and beat on high until fluffy. Slowly add previously combined flour mixture on low speed (I use “stir” on my Kitchen Aid Mixer) until combined. Add the chocolate chips at the end and let it mix about 5 seconds then turn off. Spoon onto cookie sheets and bake for 15 minutes. Do not overcook – leave cookies on the baking sheet for at least 5-10 more minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
