Easy White Bread

This a great basic white bread recipe that is really easy. It's a great "bread and butter" bread that goes well with any meal.

4.5 teaspoons active dry yeast (2 packages)
1/2 cup warm water
2 1/4 cup lukewarm milk
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
6-7 cups flour

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
