Eggless Marie biscuit swirl roll

Marie biscuit are consumed as a favorite tea biscuit in all parts of India. Marie biscuit can be used for making variety of quick and simple dessert. Today I am using these biscuit along with coco powder, butter and desiccated coconut to make a swirl roll.

12 Marie biscuit
½ cup Desiccated coconut powder
2 tbsp. Butter
Pinch Cardamom powder
11/2 tbsp. Coco powder
1/3 cup Milk
½ cup powdered sugar
• Make a fine powder of marie biscuits. • In a mixing bowl, add the powdered biscuit, coco powder and 1tbsp. of sugar and mix well with your fingers, then add milk little by little at a time and knead well to form a smooth dough. • In another bowl, add desiccated coconut powder, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, butter and mix well to form a sticky textured mixture. • Roll the biscuit dough into a 2 inch diameter using rolling pin and spread the coconut mixture all over on the top of dough. • Slowly roll the biscuit dough along with the filling to form a roll and seal the edges firmly. • Wrap in parchment paper and refrigerate the roll for 15 min or until it sets. • Once the roll is set, remove the paper and slice with knife into ½ inch thick pieces and serve.
