Food Network's Cucumber Salad

Another way to add fresh crisp cucumbers to a meal. Mix with fat free yogurt and fresh dill for a delicious side.

1 Medium cucumber (sliced thin)
3/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup fat free sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 tablespoon white wine
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 green onion (sliced thin)

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
