Fresh Tomato Soup

A delicious and simple soup made with fresh tomatoes.

1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 c onion, chopped
2 tbsp minced garlic
4-5 c chopped ripe tomatoes, seeded (you can sub in some canned, if needed)
2 c chicken broth (or 2 c water and 2 chicken bouillon cubes)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp (+) salt
salt/pepper to taste
