Fudgy Chocolate Cake

This fudge cake is beyond perfect - moist cake smothered in rich fudgy frosting

Cake:
100g butter
2 eggs
125ml (1/2 cup) whipping cream
125ml (1/2 cup) milk
250ml (1 cup) strong brewed coffee
400g sugar
275g plain (all-purpose) flour
50g cocoa powder
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
1.5 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
1 teaspoon salt (if your butter is unsalted)
Frosting:
50g dark chocolate
100g butter (softened)
300g icing (powdered) sugar
25g cocoa powder
Up to 3 tablespoons brewed coffee
Decoration (optional)

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
