Garlic White Lasagna

It was extremely flavorful and creamy and garlicky. I particularly loved the sweetness from the roasted red peppers.

1 1/2 pounds Italian sausage (casings removed and discarded)
4 large cloves garlic, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
1/2 cup white wine
1-10 oz package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1-15 oz container ricotta cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2-17 oz jars Alfredo sauce or 3 1/2 cups if using your own
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
