Giant Chocolate Chip Smores Cookies

This is meant for sharing, please do not attempt to eat this alone! Children love to help prepare this recipe, as well as eat the results.

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cups brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups dark chocolate chips
5 ounces marshmallows
1 cup of animal crackers or graham crackers
3.5 ounces dark chocolate bar (the Swiss brand "Callier Cremant" is my favorite for cooking)

2 cups dark chocolate chips
5 ounces marshmallows
1 cup of animal crackers or graham crackers

Preheat the oven to 375°F
In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. stir till creamy. Slightly beat the eggs, then add to the sugar mixture. Gradually add dry ingredients, sift in the flours with the salt and baking soda.
stir in the chocolate chips.
place 1/4 of this cookie dough in the middle of an ungreased cookie sheet. Press it down in a circle shape. place a layer of the chocolate bar over this dough, then add a layer of marshmallows, place a layer of animal crackers on top of the marshmallows. Then spoon another 1/4 of the cookie dough over the top of the layered ingredients. It will melt together in the oven.
Yield = 2 cakes
Bake for approximately 25 minutes
