I love ginger in everything: tea, desserts, and today I chose the orange and ginger combination.

- 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, grated;
- 2 tablespoons of orange zest, grated;
- 50 ml of orange juice;
- 200 g white sugar;
- 3 eggs;
- 250 ml buttermilk;
- 350 g flour;
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder;
- 1 pinch of salt;

Prepare a saucepan, add the ginger, the orange juice, and stir in 50 g of sugar. Cook for a few minutes, until the sugar is completely melted. Turn off the heat, stir in the orange zest, and set aside.
