Gluten Free Slow Cooker Chili

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
2 cloves of garlic
1 can tomatoes (basil and garlic seasoned)
1 can kidney beans
1/2 cup ketchup
1 cup spaghetti sauce
2 T brown sugar
1 T chili powder
2 T Worcestershire sauce (check label for gluten free)
Begin by browning hamburger meat. Chop onion, peppers and garlic and add to crock pot. Add tomatoes, beans, ketchup, spaghetti sauce. Mix in sugar, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. When meat is browned add to mixture. Cook on low for 4 hours.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
