Gram's Peanut Brittle

A homemade candy treat that is quick and easy. Make this early in the holiday season and freeze until ready to eat.

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup Karo white syrup
2 cups raw Spanish peanuts
oleo or butter, size of a walnut
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
