2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
½ cup cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sour milk (I don’t mean rotten milk, I mean you need to add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to 1 cup of milk and let sit for a couple of minutes)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup shortening
½ cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour (for chocolate I use cocoa powder rather than flour) your baking pan well. I generally use a 10 inch round pan but an 8×10 pyrex pan works perfect.
