Grandma's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

This is my great grandmother's sugar cookie recipe that has been passed down to her 100+ grandchildren! She continues to use this recipe to bake with her grandchildren at 92 years old! They are so yummy!

1 cup butter - softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
4+ cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
