Great Grandma's Buttermilk Scones

My guilty pleasure is to enjoy with my coffee with a mouth-watering scone. My Mom has very fond memories of all the wonderful baked goods her Grandma used to make. My Great Grandma was a fabulous cook! My Mom remembers eating Grandma’s Buttermilk Scones served warm with grape jelly. I personally love them with Chocolate Chips!

(3) Cups Flour
(4) TSP Baking Powder
(1) TBSP Granulated Sugar
(1/4) TSP Salt
(1/4) TSP Baking Soda
(3) TBSP Buttered Flavored Crisco® Shortening
(2) Cups Buttermilk
(1) Cup Mini Chocolate Chips (Optional). Cinnamon Chips or Dried Cherries would also be delicious!
