These cookies, made from a recipe from 1880, are Great-Grandmother-worthy...buttery and crisp around the edges, rich and chewy in the middle, with a perfect balance of raisins, pecans, and dough.

2 cups sugar (I used 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup light brown sugar)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
