1 lb ground sausage
1 onion, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 potatoes, cubed
8 cups black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (20 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 tbsp ground black pepper, to taste
