So easy to make this outstanding cake. Chocolate cake mix, instant chocolate pudding, cherry pie filling and whipped cream icing. It really is Heavenly!

1 box of chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix, prepared in two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans
1 (3.9 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding prepared by following instructions on box
1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 pint heavy whipping cream, chilled
½ cup powdered sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Garnish: chocolate shavings
