Heavenly Peanut Butter Pie

A delicious 'pie' with a Nutter Butter crust and then layers of peanut in one form or another.

18 Nutter Butter cookies, crushed fine
3 ½ T butter, melted
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 ½ c powdered sugar
1 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
16 oz Cool Whip, divided
8 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, cold, divided
¼ cup brown sugar
1 c peanut butter
¼ c peanuts, optional
To make crust, mix together in a bowl until moist: crushed cookies and butter. Press into 9" deep dish pie pan, and freeze for 10 minutes to firm. In a separate bowl beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and 8oz of cool whip. Spread ½ of the mixture over the crust. Chop the peanut butter cups and put HALF on top of the cream cheese mixture. Freeze for five minutes. Take the remaining ½ of the cream cheese mixture and add brown sugar, peanut butter, and 4 oz Cool Whip. Beat well and spread on the pie. Spread remaining Cool whip over entire pie, add a sprinkle of crushed peanuts and rest of peanut butter cups. Refrigerate 8 hours and serve.
